35. SWOC analysis of the department and Future plans:
STRENGTH:
- Well qualified faculties.
- Regular classes.
- Full attendance of students.
- Proper interaction between students and teachers.
- Students are highly disciplined.
- During extracurricular session, craft and S.I.P.W session students learn
lots of things to make themselves aware.
- During classes students� become able to enhance their cognitive,
affective as well as psychomotor domain of learning.
Weaknesses:
- Lack of faculty.
- Lack of proper infrastructure and other resources.
Opportunities:
- Research centre or research facilities should be made available.
- In view of growing tourism and explore Buddh, Mahavira, Nalanda and Vikramshila ;
Historical monuments of arts and sculpture are also visited and course of
tourism is being thought of to be introduced.
Challenges:
- The major challenges of the department are to ensure the ever popular
subject grows at the current level as the member of enrolment to the subject is
increasing day by day.
- To make the history curriculum more relevant so that history as a subject
becomes more attractive and job-oriented.
Future Plans:
- To enhance Departmental Library.
- To start Tourism courses and map study of history.
