35. SWOC analysis of the department and Future plans:

STRENGTH:

Music is the finest form of art. It makes things connect more easily. It increases cognitive ability. The Reyaz in music helps to focus and concentrate academically also.

WEAKNESSES:

The department suffer from lack of proper music labs; An Audition where rehearsal and other programmes could be organised; adequate number of faculty member, lab demonstrators/instruments required; Audio aid and instruments needed / computer etc.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Proper and systematic study of music provides various career opportunities and placements. One may explore further and go for research work or become producer composers/teacher/instrument. It opens hundreds of other avenues for students if properly taught at college level.

CHALLENGES:

Music works as a soothing balm to the perturbed mind. It brings tranquility and fights insomnia. It works as a therapy in the actualization of ones goal by getting adequate infrastructure. To sharpen the musical skills of young ladies at college we can have enough career opportunities open for them.
